Which brand of mobile phone do 'real' techies use and why?

I use Samsung flagship phones (S series, also the Note series will do).

Here are the reasons why :
As these phones are famous and a lot of people use them, a large number of custom ROMs are available for them, you can change every bit of your phone using them (and I absolutely love it!).

Being a techie, I would like my phone to have up-to-date firmware, I want my phone to have the latest of what Google has to offer and for these phones Samsung provides updated firmware very quickly (not as quickly as the Nexus obviously, but sooner than other phones).

If you want to develop apps (like I do), other than the usual stuff, these phones have awesome additional hardware(humidity sensor, pressure sensor, the Air View Sensor, IR Blaster and many more) for which you can develop really cool apps.

And if you mess up the phone by doing all these things (which techies are very likely to), you will have a lot of people who have already faced the problems and solved it (the real MVPs).
