Well, I feel qualified to answer this question as I myself have been hired in Amazon without experience. :D So to start with, you can get hired as a software developer
Intern anywhere (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai). There are loads and loads of openings in Amazon and most probably if you have a sound profile, you can ask any of your friend to refer you in Amazon as we have referral programs and Amazon strives to select as many candidates as it can through referral program. Otherwise, you can also get selected On campus(the probability of that is good as you are from NIT). I have also heard that you can apply through Naukri or any such sites but cannot guarantee your selection from there. Although, such sites would require an experienced candidate, if you have a good profile, I think it you can go ahead and apply and see how it turns out.
To sum it up, as you are a passed out, try to contact some of your friend(s) who is in Amazon and ask him/her to refer you.
