What jobs will still be relevant in 2050?

  • Hairdresser / barber - I can't see people trusting a robot to cut their hair..  unless everyone goes bald, people who cut hair are going to still be in need
  • Project managers - due to the nature of projects - change, uncertainty, unforeseen circumstances, project managers I think are going to be sought after
  • Psychiatrist / psychologist - helping human mental problems
  • Window cleaners - unless someone invents self cleaning windows
  • Machine operators - now I don't know which ones but I see that there will be people who will operate highly sophisticated robots for various industries
  • Specialist engineers - to fix problems in the machines as above when they go wrong
  • Artificial Intelligence - this field is expanding and growing.. it's this field which will eventually replace us humans!
  • Film / Sports / Celebrity - us humans will still like to watch our favourite stars for entertainment..
I know people say coding and I guess this depends on where you are in the world. If you're in an expensive country, coding is already being outsourced to cheaper countries...  if you're in the US or Europe, it's going to be tough to compete with say Vietnam and India since they have awesome coders and are at a fraction of the cost.
I'm sure there are loads more things and the world is moving so quickly we never will quite know!
Good luck whatever you choose!
