There are some reasons for this draining problem. I list out below
to the extent of my knowledge.
1. First, I also faced this problem in my old Micromax canvas a1 phone, when I upgraded it to android marshmallow. Before that I used to charge my phone once per day. after marshmallow upgrade, I charged my phone 3 times per day. It can barely stand up for 5 hours even when I was not using internet or Wi-Fi.
I don't know the reason why this was happening for a while. After I came to know about that Latest OS has lot of features that will draw more energy to use all features for which my phone has not adequate hardware configuration. This is why now all smartphones comes with lollipop has at least 2,500mAh. So these may be the reasons:
1.May be your OS gradation makes the battery draining too fast than it was as I said above.
2. May be you leave your apps running in background without killing it.
3. You might left your data in ON state after using it which is constantly search for network so that battery reduce.
4. As data connection, Wi-Fi also makes the battery drain when it is left in ON state.
5.Battery may be getting OL.
6. Your charge and discharge routine shouldn't have in proper routine.
7. Memory effect is one of the reason to be drained fast.
8. Heat also affects your battery.
So please check these reasons and rectify your problem. If the problem still persists, then replace your battery.
Hope it helps!
