Apple’s iPhone allows you to perform most of the tasks that used to require a laptop
or desktop computer on the go. For example, you no longer have to be sitting at home in front of your primary machine to update your Blogger blog. So long as your iPhone has cell service, you can update your Blogger page from any location on the planet using the official Blogger application.
or desktop computer on the go. For example, you no longer have to be sitting at home in front of your primary machine to update your Blogger blog. So long as your iPhone has cell service, you can update your Blogger page from any location on the planet using the official Blogger application.
The app reformat Blogger’s interface to take advantage of both the smaller screen size and the touch screen controls of Apple’s smart phone.
Step 1
Visit the App Store on your iPhone and download the official Blogger application. Note that while many third party applications exist that allow you to update your Blogger blog from your iPhone, many of them cost money. The official Blogger application is published by Google and is completely free of charge.
Step 2
Exit the App Store and tap the orange “Blogger” icon to load the official app on your iPhone screen. Tap the orange “Accept” button to accept Google’s terms of service. Tap the orange “Sign In” button to access your existing account. Use the Google e-mail address and password associated with your Blogger site to log in.
Step 3
Select the blog you want to update from the list on screen. If you have multiple blogs associated with the same account, only the most recently updated site will appear on screen. Tap the “Arrow” button in the upper right corner of the screen to switch to a different blog if you so desire.
Step 4
Tap the orange “New Post” button on your iPhone’s screen to load a new blank post template. Use the iPhone virtual keyboard to give your post a name. Type the text of the post into the box on screen labeled “Body.” You can use the buttons on screen to adjust formatting and font specifications as you desire.
Step 5
If you want to add a picture to your post, tap the “Camera” button to use the iPhone’s camera to snap a picture at this time. Tap “Location” to add location data to your post. When you’re happy with the current state of your post, tap the black “Publish” button in the upper right corner of the application window. The post you have created will be published and will immediately go live on your Blogger site.
Note that you can also use the Blogger application to view a list of all your posts and view the way your blog currently looks from your iPhone screen.
